Differences Between British and American English
The Major Difference between British and American English is the pronunciation.
For example, the final "r" sound is totally different in British pronunciation.
Why?...
British people do not pronunciate the final "r" sound, in the other hand, american people, pronunciate every single word they see.
Other difference, is the words they use to name a particular thing... For example, American people say BAG. For example: "Could you give me a BAG?"
On the opposite side, British people say, for the same expression: "Could you give me a SACK?"
